I look forward to a new year of exploring and creating. I'm taking a little time play with clay and then onto jewelry. I have so many new ideas I wish there were more hours in the day! The cabochon above is a new design for the new year. I finished it last night, with the lyrics "It's a New Dawn, It's a New Day" in mind. Perfect sentiments for the first day of 2010.

Hi Kristie! I love your work!! I own three pedants you created and adore them :). I work with crystals in meditation and healing and am a Reiki level three healer (I think I remember reading you practice Reiki as well?). Anyways, I have been getting this urge to use my hands to create something and am very drawn to creating jewelry. Do you have some tips for someone just getting started? Where can I find materials like clasps, beads, crystals....? How do you find out about all the shows where you get stones? Any tips you can provide would be most appreciated!
