It has been COLD out!!! So I stayed in this weekend and worked on a handful of new clay designs. My favorites are these newbies... the masked spirit face!To create these pieces I did a 2 step cast with ecru & gold clay. I antiqued the ecru clay and I added metallic pigment powders to the gold clay to give her a brilliantly colored mask! The effect is pretty and has more depth than just painting them.
I think I'm going to have to make MYSELF something with one of these! Hmmm......
