Mini Quartz Crystal Earrings!

Anyone that knows me, knows I love jewelry featuring natural quartz crystals.... especially rings, earrings, & bracelets.... I think it is because they have always been so hard to find. I've been working on earrings featuring tiny quartz crystals.... I made a few pairs & they sell before I can get them listed online--- so I know there's others out there with the same passion as me!! (hooray!)

Now that the dust is settling after the holidays, I finally made more of these earrings! I'll be listing them this week! This pair features quartz crystals, apatite, Baltic amber, & garnet!! Nice colors--and energy!!

Warning these earrings are addictive!! I have a couple pairs I wear all the time and I have been known to refuse to sell them if I like them too much!

New Masked Goddess Face Cabs!

It has been COLD out!!! So I stayed in this weekend and worked on a handful of new clay designs. My favorites are these newbies... the masked spirit face!

To create these pieces I did a 2 step cast with ecru & gold clay. I antiqued the ecru clay and I added metallic pigment powders to the gold clay to give her a brilliantly colored mask! The effect is pretty and has more depth than just painting them.

I think I'm going to have to make MYSELF something with one of these! Hmmm......

I'll be Teaching A Wire Wrapped Jewelry Class in Lancaster, PA!

Take down the date.....Monday, February 11, 2008, 6pm I'll be teaching a wire jewelry class at Lancaster Bead Company!!!! I'm excited!!! If you click on the link you can see their site & I'm on the calendar (my name is mis-spelled, but it's me who will be teaching). The class is only $30.00, very affordable!!!

I'll be teaching a basic sculpted pendant utilizing a focal bead and any other accent beads you desire. You'll learn the frame-work of the pedant and how to sculpt the wire to create a stunning OOAK pendant of your own! Once you learn the framework the sky is the limit with designs.

The pictures here are of the style I'll be teaching. An original design, by me. This will be for those who are new to wire. The 2 pictures I posted here are the pendant I will be teaching; they are essentially the same, just a little different sculpting around the outside of each.

Wednesdays at Gallery 141

Wednesdays 10-4 are my official day at Gallery 141! I will be there every Wednesday (I'm sure there will be exceptions here & there) and one Saturday a month. I managed to snap a shot of myself with some of my creations at the gallery today. (and of course I left my lint roller in the background--I always forget to put something away before taking a picture)! My sister gave me a new tripod for my camera this Christmas & I had to try it out... it works great!
