Wire Wrapped Polymer Clay Goddess Face Pendants...Oh yeah...and, HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Happy Halloween to all & a Happy Halloween Birthday to my Mom! Hope everyone has a fun & safe holiday...I'm taking it easy this year...as last year's Halloween resulted in me falling down the stairs & breaking my ankle! Ugh!

It's been a while since I took some time to wrap some of my polymer clay faces... I was inspired today!!! These goddess cameos were so pretty I just had to wrap a few of them! I've included pictures of my 2 favorites... the autumn leaf goddess & the winter moon goddess.

All of my wire wrapped clay pieces are signed & date with the year. Whether you love clay or unique jewelry these are sure to please! I love creating elegant & classy seasonal pieces...after working in an office I know how hard it is to find unique pieces of seasonal jewelry.... seems like the department stores recycle the same pieces over year to year....boring after awhile!

The Sculpted Windows Jewelry Storefront Gets a Face Lift!

Hooray!! I finally launched a new homepage for our ebay store front. I hope everyone finds it helpful. It removes some of the chaos of intermingled listings of wire wrapped jewelry & polymer clay faces. Once you click on a category you're back to the usual ebay category page layouts. There you can find new listings scrolling & my weekly boxes.

I would like to tweak the colors a bit, they are kind of blah...slowly learning how to do it... I need to make up my mind on which ones I like. I am so indecisive about color...even when I was painting my house...changing colors online is MUCH easier than re-painting a room though---so I better pick some & try them out! I'll be adding a few new pages &/or colors to the store...don't panic if you see changes this week & possibly next :)

To Oxidize or not to Oxidize...That is the Question!

I have been experimenting with oxidation again... I am really liking the look. Here is a pendant that has been on my bench for a couple of weeks...I photographed it before & after oxidation. It is a a beautiful Fossilized Mako Shark Tooth in a geometric wrapped setting.....

I love this wire wrapped pendant setting, it is an intricate, yet clean line design.... But I just kept looking at it polished & shiny & I was unhappy with it. For all of the time spent creating the setting it was lacking depth & appeared almost invisible next to this bold, black fossil tooth....

I decided to oxidize it & I love the effect.... it really gave this setting the depth it needed to highlight the wrapping at the top without competing with the fossil. I think I'm going to have to experiment some more with oxidizing my wire wrapped pieces! It's amazing how much it impacts & adds to some pieces.... much like a black & white picture can bring some scenes to life more than a color picture.... pretty wild!

Finally... getting back into the groove!

Finally....I think the world is settling down! I truly forgot how exhausting a move can be. I still have 50 errands to do & just as many little boxes of stuff to unpack...but that is a far cry better than the 900 things I have had to do since we arrived here in Pennsylvania!

The creative energy is flowing again & the listings are starting! I have a lot of catching up to do & hope I will be able to accomplish it all this week! I have listed many new pieces of jewelry including rings & pendants. I also listed several amethyst slice pendants, as many have requested them---what I listed is all I have left:). I have many more pieces of jewelry & clay to list this week! Be on the lookout & thank you EVERYONE for your patience the last couple of weeks!

Everyone has been very welcoming here in Lancaster. Thank you for all the hellos & help received here & there while I've been traveling about. There is a possibility I may be teaching at a local bead shop....I don't want to count my chickens before they hatch....so, stay tuned!!!

We Survived the move to Lancaster--I Think!

I think we have survived our move!! Clothes and furniture are unpacked & now to set up shop again! All inventory, cabs, crystal, beads, tools, & more made it safely!! The only spill was a box of red coral and garnet & that was easily remedied.
Wow, moving is exhausting...as well as the "I know I saw that somewhere---I'm just not sure where"! I am excited to meet Lancaster, PA and hope the community is open to a new artist! I'll keep you posted!

Thank you everyone for your patience and blessings while we relocated! All went well, very well. This picture is of me amidst the boxes in my office...I'm not sure if I was tearing my hair out or protecting my head in case they fell on me!
